Soul Travel/Out of Body
Soul Travel is the soul's ability to leave the physical body at will or during sleep or deep states of meditation or trance. The soul/non-physical body can travel freely without the restrictions of the physical, and even visit the various planes or other dimensions beyond the third dimension and earth. The soul is often considered to be one's 'higher self' or true self and is connected with our emotions, dreams, and our innermost truths and wisdom.
Soul travel is a practice teached in Surat Shabd Yoga and derivated paths such as Eckankar. This experience can be achieved at will through spiritual practices such as meditation techniques and mantra repetition.
In esoteric and occult traditions, practices range from inducing trance states to the mental construction of a second body, called the Body of Light or 'lightbody', through visualization and controlled breathing, followed by the transfer of consciousness to the secondary body by a mental act of will.
Soul travel is similar to astral projection and is often referred to as an 'out of body experience', the difference being that soul travel does not require one to be near death and one can voluntarily will their soul to leave the body, and they can control the experience of where they travel at will. Astral projection often refers to process of one's non-physical or astral body being willfully projected outside of the physical body in order to explore the astral plane or dimension. This occurs naturally during the dreaming phase of sleep and the experiences here are similar to those while astral traveling.
Negative experiences and emotions often occur during astral projection or while exploring the astral plane, especially if one is not fully prepared mentally or experienced enough with out of body travel. Soul travel mainly focuses on higher and more positive experiences outside of the body and exploring the higher planes and dimensions of light beyond the 4th (astral) where soul learning and growth takes place, and where one can meet with guides and divine beings.
Past Lives, Dreams, and Soul Travel
Soul Travel transcends astral or mind travel, and rote prayer, elevating one into profound spiritual areas. Whenever Soul reaches the far orbits of the inner planes through Soul Travel, the human heart opens to God's all-consuming love.
Astral Soul Plane Travel
While it may seem as though it would be best to avoid the lower astral plane altogether, that is not my opinion. Instead, I consider the key ingredient to be the usefulness of the resulting communications.
Guide to Heaven
The Soul Plane is where the outer Electronic Body of the I AM Presence resides.When opening the Heart Centre in the inner Worlds a Sun always rises up above the Horizon. Most Religions or spiritual practices including meditation and contemplation talk about opening up the Heart to find Divine Love, the Christ, the Buddha or Krishna.
