Domesticated animals are valued by humans for companionship and even wild animals hold a special place in the hearts of many who appreciate the diversity of life which share our planet with us. It's no wonder that there are many who devote their lives to the loving care, help and rescue, and medical and veterinarian assistance to animals. We rely on animals in so many ways, but animals also rely on us.
